Oh my god, Dad, what-everrr

M-'s going over her college applications with her boyfriend, while D-'s zapping aliens in his favorite first-person shooterIs it just me, or does this provide a blurry little peek into the next decade?

D- slumped over on the couch, lost in a videogame, and M- posing while casually chatting on a cell phone... (shudder)

That's it, we're officially Luddites from now on!

...Except I still get to use my Wii... and my DVR.
And some other stuff.

Okay, just the kids will be Luddites.

Too funny. Yes, this is a glimpse to the future for your little "Digital Natives." I know, as I've got a 13-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy.

Have a great day...

I think the phone for my daughter is a lost cause, but as much as I like videogames, seeing my son on his thingamajig sometimes makes me want to steer him away at least for a few years, educational or no!

That picture is priceless! I bet if you save it for the next 12 years, you'll get an exact replica when they're teenagers and you can post them on your blog side by side!

Oops...that is my comment above, but I forgot my name--SORRY!

That's probably true, except the cell phone won't be able to be seen with the naked eye, and the videogame system will be a thought-controlled virtual reality system.

And flying cars-- we'll all have flying cars!

I wonder if your daughter will be on the phone with my daughters venting about the fact that their parents have blogged their every move since birth?!

Maybe we should invest in free long distance now!

christina: Yeah, I wonder what they'd think about it when they're older. Right now D- seems to like it, as he often asks me to write about something he does in my "bwog".

cassey: I swear, she poses all the time like she expects us to always have a camera handy to catch the drops of genius she so kindly leaves for us.

Just wait til the make up phase.

Give a kid a cell phone and their bodies just naturally go in that pose.
